Renfrewshire Ambassador Application Agreement

I. GET SAFE ONLINE LIMITED, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 05479360 whose registered office is Unit D1, The Quays, Burton Waters, Lincoln, LN1 2XG. (“GSO”, “We” or “Us”).

RECITALS

A. GSO is a not for profit UK-based organisation appointed by the UK Government Foreign & Commonwealth Office to create free awareness information on safe online behaviours for Commonwealth of Nations countries’ consumers and small businesses.

B. GSO from time to time appoints individuals to act as Ambassadors (as defined below).

C. GSO wishes to appoint you to act as an Ambassador, and You agree to accept such appointment, on the terms of this Agreement and subject to its conditions.

DEFINITIONS

In this Agreement (including the Terms and Conditions), the following terms shall have the following meanings:

“Ambassador” means an “ambassador” of GSO as described in the Ambassador Role Summary.

“ Ambassador Role Summary” means the attached leaflet of that name, as may be updated or amended from time to time by GSO.

“Ambassador Scheme” means the arrangements whereby GSO establishes and maintains Ambassadors.

“Region” means [geographical region].

“ Terms and Conditions” means the attached terms and conditions, as may be updated or amended from time to time by GSO.

“Website” means getsafeonline.org.

OPERATIVE PROVISIONS

  1. GSO hereby appoints You an Ambassador and You hereby accept such appointment.
  2. You acknowledge that being an Ambassador is a voluntary role and that no payment is to be received from GSO nor accepted from anyone attending awareness sessions or otherwise for any reason in connection with your role as an Ambassador.
  3. The Terms and Conditions are incorporated into this Agreement.
  4. GSO undertakes to You that GSO will:
    • 4.1. provide You with training in online safety to increase Your knowledge and confidence in the subject matter;
    • 4.2. provide You with training in how to deliver awareness sessions to increase knowledge and confidence;
    • 4.3. provide You with mentoring sessions to provide opportunities for development in both of the above areas;
    • 4.4. provide You with awareness in the use of technology such as ZOOM, power point, webinars and others as appropriate;
    • 4.5. provide You with a network of continual support that will respond to questions regarding session content and the Ambassador Scheme;
    • 4.6. provide online resources for You to deliver awareness training sessions;
    • 4.7. provide You with information on updated content;
    • 4.8. effect ongoing promotion of the Ambassador Scheme through local public relations campaigns in the Region to highlight good work;
    • 4.9. ensure You have access to online resources via the Website;
    • 4.10. produce a Regional newsletter of what works well, areas for improvement and content updates to be shared with You;
    • 4.11. upon Your having satisfied the entry requirements as set out in the Ambassador Role Summary, provide you with a Certification of Achievement in becoming a Ambassador; and
    • 4.12. issue You with incremental levels of Ambassador certification upon your having delivered increasing numbers of training sessions, as follows:
    • 4.12.1.Bronze certificate: 3 sessions.
    • 4.12.2.Silver certificate: 6 sessions.
    • 4.12.3.Gold certificate: 9 sessions.
  5. You undertake to GSO that You will:
    • 5.1.maintain access to email and online content;
    • 5.2.complete required pre-reading prior to attending courses;
    • 5.3.participate in one-to-one online video calls with Our trainers as appropriate;
    • 5.4.attend and participate in training sessions as directed by GSO;
    • 5.5.complete knowledge checks where directed by GSO; Get Safe Online Ambassador Scheme Agreement continued
    • 5.6. contribute to evaluation requirements set by GSO, including completing surveys on GSO sessions, conducting Ambassador session surveys and maintaining an Ambassador Journal;
    • 5.7.organise and deliver a minimum of 6 awareness training sessions in the Region;
    • 5.8.contribute to the Regional newsletter through session feedback to GSO;
    • 5.9. promote the Ambassador Scheme within local communities and business communities in the Region where appropriate;
    • 5.10. connect with other Ambassadors through Regional networks to develop self-sufficient peer-to-peer groups;
    • 5.11. while acting as an Ambassador, maintain suitable standards of behaviour, behaving professionally and as described in the Ambassador Role Summary;
    • 5.12. not to solicit any financial or beneficial gain through being part of the Ambassador Scheme; and
    • 5.13. become familiar with and adhere to the copyright and other intellectual property restrictions set out in the Terms and Conditions.
  6. Liability
    • 6.1. Your attention is drawn to the “Disclaimers” section of the Terms and Conditions.
    • 6.2. Further, You will indemnify GSO for any and all losses resulting from Your performance of, or Your failure to perform, Your obligations under this Agreement.
  7. Governing law and jurisdiction
    • 7.1. This Agreement is governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales.
    • 7.2. Any dispute arising in relation to this Agreement (whether it be contractual or non-contractual) will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
