Help someone to get safe online

As the UK’s leading source of free, practical expert information and advice on online safety, Get Safe Online has a number of ways of getting the message on online safety across to the UK public and small businesses. One of these is Get Safe Online Week, which this year will run from 22nd – 26th October. In its seventh successive year, Get Safe Online Week is an awareness campaign designed to highlight the importance of taking some simple precautions to prevent being affected by scams, fraud, bullying and the other aspects of going online that can make it a less than desirable experience.

This year’s theme is ‘Click & Tell’, designed to get as many people as possible across the UK – including you – to pass on online safety tips to friends, family, colleagues, neighbours, vulnerable people …anyone who could benefit from the advice.

As well as a media and poster campaign, we have enlisted a number of celebrities to recommend some great tips to you. And if you live or work in or near Cardiff, London, Leeds, Edinburgh or Belfast, we'd love to see you at our campaign roadshow bus, where experts will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about staying safe online.

For more information on where we're going to be during Get Safe Online Week – and ways you can get involved – please click on the large 'Click & Tell' logo on the homepage of this website.
