FA referee charged in hacking enquiry

November 29th 2013

A football league referee from Cheshire has been charged following allegations of computer hacking at the Football Association.

30 year-old Dean Mohareb is charged with perverting the course of justice and unauthorised access to computer data, and will appear with two other men before magistrates in Stockport on 5th December. His co-defendants – from the Cheshire and Manchester areas – are charged with perverting the course of justice.

Mohareb is a senior member of the FA Referees Department as national referee development manager.

We reported Mohareb's arrest in October last year after allegations that he had hacked into a colleague's email account.
