Our man at the Cyber Security Summit

Yesterday saw over 400 policy makers, practitioners and industry stakeholders get together for the Cyber Security Summit, billed as the year's leading forum for debating the future for cybersecurity. It was held at London's Inmarsat Conference Centre.

Our Chief Exec Tony Neate was amongst the speakers at this year's event. Tony spoke to a receptive audience on the subject of protecting individuals online, covering:

  • Improving public cyber security awareness
  • Identity assurance online – deterring fraud
  • Identifying weaknesses in public sites
  • Introducing cyber security skills in the school curriculum
  • Supporting the development of innovative programmes to promote citizens online security

The event's keynote address was delivered by Chloe Smith MP, Minister for Political and Constitutional Reform, Cabinet Office.
