Enter the Nominet Internet Awards. Only 10 days to go!

At Get Safe Online we applaud any initiative to promote internet safety, and this one's no exception.

Nominet – a valued Get Safe Online Associate Partner – is organising its annual competition to celebrate the achievements and innovation of UK internet initiatives, for the seventh time.

The objective? To showcase projects which help to make the internet a more secure, open, accessible and diverse experience for all.

So if you're a UK business or charity or other public or private sector organisation – or indeed an individual –  who you believe is making a difference on, or through, the internet, get your entry in now at http://nia.nominet.org.uk/  Entries close 28 March.

And who is Nominet?

Nominet operates at the very heart of e-commerce in this country, running one of the world's largest Internet registries and managing over ten million (!!) .uk domain names. In other words, Nominet's technology locates a computer on the internet hosting the website or email system people look for when typing in a web address or send an email to an address that ends in .uk
