Get Safe Online announces partnership with Neighbourhood Alert

By Tim Mitchell on 07 Apr, 2020

Get Safe Online has partnered with Neighbourhood Alert to provide credible, relevant and useful advice to its nation-wide community on all elements of staying safe online. The partnership kicked off last week with the distribution of Get Safe Online’s latest campaign ‘You, Coronavirus and staying safe online.’

Tony Neate, CEO of Get Safe Online comments, “With everything that we do, our goal is to fundamentally educate the public on the importance of behaving safely online. By partnering with Neighbourhood Alert, we are able to publish our highly respected advice regularly to the heart of communities across the UK – something that I hope will be hugely beneficial to many across the Neighbourhood Alert network.”

Neighbourhood Alert provides an advanced community messaging system solution for police forces, local authorities and Neighbourhood Watch. Operating since 2010, it gives communities the opportunity to share local information, receive advice from relevant bodies and complement any Neighbourhood Watch services in the area. It is used by 24 police forces plus fire & rescue, local authority, utility and national organisations throughout the UK. From online shopping, to email scams to staying connected, Get Safe Online will be the main provider for advice on staying safe online.

The Get Safe Online website is a unique resource providing practical advice on how to protect yourself, your family, computers, mobile devices and workplace against fraud, identity theft, viruses and many other problems encountered online.

It contains guidance on many other related subjects too – including performing backups and how to avoid theft or loss of your computer, smartphone or tablet. Discover more at www.getsafeonline.org
